Product Description
The Blocfor AES self-retracting lifeline provides freedom of movement to workers performing their job at various heights. The device automatically takes up the slack in the rope, keeping it out of the way while minimizing the free fall distance, should a fall occur. In the event of a fall, the sudden jerk in the rope will activate the centrifugal locking mechanism, arresting the fall within 43-Inch (1. 1 m). The user is attached to the Blocfor AES self-retracting lifeline by a wire rope or synthetic rope whose length is automatically adjusted by a retracting spring that activates a drum on which the wire rope or synthetic rope is coiled onto. In the event of a fall, the drum is locked by a pawl system which engages in a ratchet wheel under the effect of the centrifugal force caused by the acceleration of the falling mass attached to the wire rope. The fall is stopped gradually by the slide blocking of a disk braking system. Always work directly under anchorage point as a pendulum fall could result in serious injury or death. Always select an anchorage point that is rigid and capable of supporting a minimum load of 5000-Pound (22. 5 ken). Isolated drum keeps all brake components contaminate-free. All parts are corrosion resistant. Mechanical parts are not dependent on the integrity of the housing. Single inertia and speed-activated brake pawl design. Features a carabineer-positioning washer.
